Notice of AGM 2022

Meeting by Zoom webinar - any questions you have for the EC can be submitted in advance by email to subhc.secretary@gmail.com or on the night using the questions function on the webinar. There will be some time for questions at the end of each agenda item before we move on.


Standard Agenda:

  • to receive the Chairman’s report

  • to receive the Mens Club Captain’s report

  • to receive the Ladies Club Captain’s report

  • to consider the accounts of the Club and the Treasurer’s report

  • approve the introduction/withdrawal of any teams from league competition

  • to elect an Executive Committee for the following season

Members have the right to submit motions for consideration at the AGM. These must be sent to the Secretary (Matt Collinson, subhc.secretary@gmail.com).


EC Nominations:

Anyone over the age of 18 can stand for a position on the EC. They must provide a nomination by email to subhc.secretary@gmail.com stating their full name, the position on the EC they wish to stand for and the names of their proposer and seconder who must both be fully paid members of the club. We are always looking for volunteers to fill EC positions, or other club related roles, if you are unsure, or want more information, please email Matt Collinson our secretary for more in depth role details


The Executive Committee positions that we are seeking nominations for are as follows:

President - Figurehead for the club. Primarily honorary role, will be first person called upon to own a key challenge for the club.

Chair - Central figure in the running and organisation of the club. Is accountable for the strategy of the club and its delivery through all club volunteers.

Vice Chair – Support the chair in all matters and has responsibility for all playing aspects.

Secretary- Accountable for the governance of the Club. Responsible for setting the agenda for and organising the Executive Committee Meetings. Responsible for key club communication

Treasurer – Accountable for the financial strategy, budget and accounting of the club.

Club Captain (Men) - Responsible for the men's side of the club, playing, training and selection. The first point of contact for any club member with a playing issue, supports captains in their roles.

Club Captain (Women) - Responsible for the women's side of the club, playing, training and selection. The first point of contact for any club member with a playing issue, supports captains in their roles

Fixtures Secretary - Accountable for the organisation of all matches, the facilities, the teas and umpires as appropriate; coordinating with both the association bodies as appropriate and opponents.

Ladies Chair of Selection – Accountable for the delivery of the club selection policy in accordance with association rules.

Mens Chair of Selection – Accountable for the delivery of the club selection policy in accordance with association rules.

Communications- Accountable for provision of communication channels (social media, internet, etc.) and responsible for providing regular content including messages from EC to the club

Social/hospitality – Accountable for planning and delivery of the shortly allowed in person club social events (for example race nights and the end of season meal) and for ensuring that teas are organised on a match day with captains.

Volunteer Coordinator - Coordinate the implementation of the volunteer recruitment, training and support plans. Be the club’s point of contact for health and safety matters including receiving of incident reports and managing all equipment related to player safety (e.g. first aid kits, short corner masks etc)
